Alex Edfort

San Joaquin Area Director

Alex was a multi-sport athlete growing up. He earned a scholarship to play golf at University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA where he went on to play in three NCAA Regional championships, won back to back Big West Conference championships and was named the 2012 Big West Conference Player of the Year. He graduated as a Powell Scholar and Academic All American with a degree in Sport Management. FCA played a huge role in his early walk with Christ.

"My faith journey really began with FCA. I attended a campus huddle at University of the Pacific and got my first Bible. I came to know Christ through campus ministry. If it weren't for campus ministry, I may have never heard the gospel. I'm passionate about seeing young lives transformed through the power of the gospel."

Alex resides in Lodi, is married to his wife Lisa, and they enjoy raising their five children: Chloe-14, Evie-11, Lincoln-5, Levi-3, and Grace-1.

Janaye Perata

San Joaquin Ambassador - North Stockton

Janaye was born in Stockton, CA and was raised in a strong faith-based household. She graduated from Lincoln High School and started a career as a dental assistant before God called her to full-time ministry.

“In high school, I struggled in my faith, yet I always attended the FCA meetings on campus. No matter how rough life got, FCA was that safe place I could go for weekly encouragement. If it weren’t for campus ministry, I don’t know that I would have made it through my sophomore year.  I experienced God’s faithfulness in my high school years and that inspires me to meet students where they’re at. What better way than to do that than on their campuses.”

Before coming on staff, Janaye served as an FCA volunteer on multiple campuses. She also serves as the assistant director of student ministries at her home church.
